Measurements with garment laying flat (please compare your measurements carefully to mine):

Pristine like new condition meticulously looked over no visible tears, stains, or smells. regardless of what the tag might say to get the sizing of the jacket I doubled the measured pit to pit portion and subtracted 4 inches (traditional measurement)and rounded up to the nearest even number.  For length I measured the back of the jacket short is under 30 inches regular is 30 – 32 inches and long is anything over 32 inches.  Please see measurements in description and compare to your size. 

Jacket Measurements: 

chest: 21.5 (pit to pit) 

waist of jacket: 20.5 (approx. navel) 

sleeves: 24 (shoulder tip to cuff) 

Length: 31 (bottom of collar to hem at the back) 

Shoulder: 19.5 (tip to tip across the back)
